Billing Engineer
Billing Engineering & Cost Estimation
Mentorship Program Description:
This Mentorship Program provides essential knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, rate analysis, and billing processes in construction projects. It covers topics such as bill of quantities (BOQ), measurement techniques, contract billing, valuation, and reconciliation to ensure accurate cost management and financial planning in civil engineering projects.
Mentorship Program Objectives:
By the end of this Mentorship Program, students will be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a billing engineer.
- Prepare and interpret bills of quantities (BOQ) and estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoff from construction drawings.
- Conduct rate analysis and cost estimation.
- Work with contract billing, running bills, and final bills.
- Understand tax implications, deductions, and payment procedures.
- Use software tools for billing and estimation (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, SAP, ERP).
